PRESS RELEASE
Fulcrum Grows 25% in 2008
Results-Driven Industry Solutions Draw Clients
NEW YORK - February 16, 2009 - Fulcrum, a leading provider of database marketing solutions, has
announced 25% growth in 2008, fueled by its broad set of integrated
services and major new account wins with retailers, consumer electronics
manufacturers, and banks.
Fulcrum's Retail Marketing Group saw significant growth as
several specialty retailers and grocery chains engaged Fulcrum to build
marketing and CRM solutions. Facing growing economic pressure since
2007, many retailers need to drive higher profits with reduced
advertising and marketing budgets. Fulcrum's data-driven marketing
solutions have effectively addressed those challenges.
Fulcrum’s Aftermarketing Group, which helps manufacturers and
retailers sell post-purchases services and goods, such as extended
service plans, accessories, and consumables, added seven new clients in
2008. Fulcrum's marketing solutions now support four out of five of the
top consumer electronics manufacturers.
Even in Financial Services, one of the industries most severely
affected by the economic turbulence in 2008, Fulcrum realized steady
gains in revenue growth. A key driver for the expansion was financial
institutions’ increased emphasis on growing customer relationships,
rather than on significant acquisition marketing. Fulcrum's XSO
cross-selling solution particularly interested banks looking to
build greater value among their base customers.
Two key Fulcrum solutions, its Enterprise Data Warehousing and
Marketing Technology offerings, claimed several significant wins.
New clients cited decision factors such as cost savings, the need to
support integrated, multi-channel marketing programs, and the
requirement to monetize their data across the enterprise. The growth in
this service offering led Fulcrum to announce the opening of a New
Data Center in December, 2008.
"Fulcrum was extraordinarily fortunate to experience rapid growth in
2008, at a time when many companies, including competitors, saw revenues
and profits decline," said David King, Fulcrum CEO. "Our ability to
design and deploy solutions rapidly and have them accelerate gains in
efficiency and profitability were key to our clients’ success during a
very difficult time. We appreciate the trust our clients place in
Fulcrum and look forward to helping them gain market share as we head
towards the Next Economy."
